Hebden Bridge is a quirky, diverse and cosmopolitan town in the heart of the Pennines nestling in dramatic countryside of hills and valleys.
There are Pubs, restaurants and eateries to cater for all tastes. Good local ales and great food abound.

The town has umpteen small shops selling anything from rare comics and music to the latest designer fashions.

The whole area is a walkers’/cyclists’ paradise, blessed with many footpaths and bridleways. The Pennine and Calderdale Way are close by.

There is a thriving canal community in the town.

Just a short walk from the cottage onto Wadsworth moor gives views over Stoodley Pike and in the opposite direction over to Bronte Country.

Howarth is just 7 miles away and well worth a visit for the day.

Hardcastle Crags, a National Trust area, has lots of walking and exploring. There is Gibson Mill in the Craggs, a stunning eco renovation, well worth a visit to its café and museum.

Cyclists will be drawn to Cragg Vale with its continuous incline of monumental distance – 7 miles!

Every year Hebden Bridge has an Arts festival , two weeks packed with music, poetry, dancing, comics and writers at various venues in the town. This festival is a warm up for Edinburgh festival for many of the performers. The town buzzes for the two weeks.
